Representative netball is for players who are determined to develop their game and want to compete at a higher level than club competition. Players from all six Manningham Netball Association clubs can trial for selection, with eligibility starting at the 11 and Under age group.
Warrandyte Netball Club has a strong history of rep selection. In 2026, around 30 of our players were selected for Manningham and other rep teams, with three going on to represent Chisholm at the State Titles.
The Pathway
The representative pathway runs through two levels:
Manningham Rep — Eligible from 11 and Under
Selected from across the MNA clubs. Teams train together and compete in tournaments including the Association Championships.
Chisholm Region — Eligible from 15 and Under
Selected from across associations in the Chisholm region. Competes at the Netball Victoria State Titles. Teams at 15U, 17U, and Open.
Club competition and rep netball run alongside each other. Players selected for rep teams continue to play for Warrandyte on Saturdays.
How Trials Work
Manningham Netball Association runs rep trials each year, generally in October. Trials are open to players in the eligible age groups.
Players are assessed on skills, game sense, and attitude. Selection is made by MNA-appointed selectors, not individual clubs.
Chisholm Region trials follow a similar process, drawing from players already selected at association level.
What Rep Involves
Being selected for a rep team is a step up in commitment:
- Additional training sessions on top of regular club training
- Higher-level competition against the best players from other associations
- Tournament play including Association Championships (Manningham) and State Titles (Chisholm)
- Development focus with experienced rep coaches
It’s a rewarding experience and a genuine pathway for players who want to push themselves further.
WNC Rep Highlights
- 2026: Around 30 players selected for Manningham and other rep teams. Callista, Scarlett and Sierra selected for Chisholm at the State Titles.
- 2025: Record number of rep players. Sierra and Alannah selected for Chisholm. Six players represented Manningham at the Association Championships.

Is My Child Ready for Rep?
If your child is in the 11 and Under age group or above and loves netball, it’s worth trialling. Rep trials are a great experience even if a player isn’t selected in their first year. It gives them a clear picture of what to work on, and many of our rep players trialled more than once before being selected.
