Season Structure

Manningham Netball runs two seasons per year, autumn and spring. Each season includes regular rounds followed by finals from 13 and Under upwards. Grading trials are held before each season to place players into teams at the appropriate level.

See our registrations page for current season dates and how to register.

Representative Netball

Manningham Netball Association selects representative teams each year. Players from all clubs can trial for selection, with eligibility starting at the 11 and Under age group.

Rep players train and compete at a higher level than club competition, and the pathway can lead to selection for the Chisholm Region team and the Netball Victoria State Titles.

Warrandyte Netball Club has a strong history of representation in Manningham Rep teams. See our teams page for more about the rep pathway at WNC.

Umpiring

Manningham Netball Association coordinates umpiring across all competitions. Players from 15 and Under can begin their umpiring journey, with pathways to accreditation through Netball Victoria. See our umpiring guide for how to get started.

History of the Manningham Netball Association

The association was founded in 1981 as the Doncaster and Districts Netball Association (DDNA), after a group of local parents grew tired of travelling to distant associations for their children to play. In its first year, DDNA ran one season with 47 teams playing across Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, and Open age groups.

Over the following decades, the competition grew significantly. The association rebranded from Doncaster and Districts Netball Association to Manningham Netball Association to better reflect the broader community it serves.
