The 17U Magpies won the reserve premiership in the 2024 Autumn season, the sole flag from a grand final day that featured several heartbreaking near-misses for Warrandyte Netball Club.
The 13U Wallabies lost in extra time and the 15U Brolgas went down by a single goal, while the Open A Eagles were also edged out. But the Magpies made their opportunity count, winning 32-20 over Deep Creek Jets to give the club something to celebrate on June 22.
Off the court, it was a season of growth. The NetSetGO program continued to thrive, school clinics expanded the club’s reach into the local community, and the first-ever Mother’s Day round brought families together in a new way.
