The 15U Dragonflies and Open B Red Rockets both won premierships for Warrandyte Netball Club in the 2022 Spring season, with seven teams making the finals overall.
The Dragonflies were impressive in their 34-19 grand final win over INC Swifts, while the Red Rockets defeated EDNC Astros 27-20. Both teams had earned their grand final spots by defeating fellow Warrandyte sides in the semi-finals, meaning at least one WNC team was guaranteed a place in each decider.
Having multiple Warrandyte teams competing against each other deep in the finals is a sign of the club’s depth across age groups, even if it makes for a bittersweet semi-final day.
