Warrandyte Netball Club claimed four premierships on grand final day in the 2022 Autumn season, with the 13U Tadpoles, 13U Turtles, 17U Magpies, and 17U Kookaburras all winning their deciders.
The standout story was the Turtles’ giant-killing effort. Having finished three games behind Deep Creek Ambers on the ladder and losing their last encounter 4-27, they produced a stunning upset to win by a single goal when it mattered most. It was a reminder that anything can happen on grand final day.
The Kookaburras were the most dominant of the four premiers, winning 38-15 over EDNC Eclipses, while the Tadpoles (21-18) and Magpies (18-17) both won in tight finishes. The four flags marked a strong return to premiership success for the club after the disruption of recent seasons.
