The Under-17 Falcons completed back-to-back premierships in the 2005 Spring season, comfortably defeating Koonung Flames 49-30 in the grand final to cap a dominant year.
Coach Teresa Knott challenged her players to step up an extra five per cent for the decider, and they nearly hit their target score of 50. The team featured several players who went on to have long careers at the club.
The Falcons had finished top of the ladder and were rarely troubled despite being down two regular players on grand final day. Three other Warrandyte teams finished as runners-up, including the 15U Magpies who lost by a single goal to longtime rivals DYC Jaguars.
