Run Warrandyte 2026

Ebony Rosalie Run Warrandyte

Sunday 1 March marked the 15th Community Bank Warrandyte Run Warrandyte and what a morning it was. Over 800 runners registered for one of five events, making it another outstanding year for one of Warrandyte’s biggest community events.

Run Warrandyte is organised by the Warrandyte Sporting Group, which brings together the four clubs that share the Warrandyte Reserve facility: Warrandyte Football Club, Warrandyte Junior Football Club, Warrandyte Cricket Club, and Warrandyte Netball Club. All proceeds from the event go towards maintaining and improving the facilities we all use.

The course is one of the best parts, a picturesque route through Warrandyte alongside the Yarra River and through the Warrandyte State Park. Events range from the 21km and 15km distances starting at 7:30am, through to the 10km, 5km, and 2.2km, with an Under 8 kids’ run at 9:15am. There’s genuinely something for everyone.

As always, WNC families were involved in every way: running, marshalling, setting up before dawn, and packing down afterwards. The event doesn’t happen without volunteers, and our community turned up.

Run Warrandyte is a great reminder that our club is part of something bigger than netball. The shared facility at Taroona Avenue is home to hundreds of families across four sports, and events like this bring us all together.

Thanks to everyone who ran, marshalled, and cheered. See you again on the first Sunday of March 2027.
