The Player Pathway

One of the best things about netball at Warrandyte is the clear pathway from beginner to competitive player — and beyond:

  1. NetSetGO (ages 5–10) — learn the basics, have fun, fall in love with netball
  2. Junior competition (9U–17U) — develop skills in a competitive, supportive Saturday competition
  3. Open competition (17+) — play competitive netball on Saturdays and/or Tuesdays
  4. Representative netball — trial for Manningham Rep (Chisholm Region) and compete at the Victorian State Titles
  5. Give back — many of our coaches, umpires and committee members started as junior players at WNC

Grading and Team Placement

Before each season, we hold grading trials to place players into teams. Our goal is to make sure every player is in a team where they’ll be challenged, develop their skills and enjoy their netball. We consider ability, age and social fit.

New players are always welcome at grading — it’s a chance to meet coaches and other players, and for us to find the right spot for you. If you’ve never played before, don’t worry — we’ll place you in a team where you’ll be supported and encouraged.
