Congratulations to our 11U Koalas and 13U Kangaroos, who represented Warrandyte Netball Club with pride at the Chirnside Park Netball Club tournament on Sunday at Pinks Reserve.
Our Koalas played some fantastic netball throughout the day, finishing 5th in Section 1 and narrowly missing out on a finals spot. The Kangaroos had an outstanding run, finishing the regular rounds in 4th place before pulling off a thrilling semi-final win against the second-placed team by just one goal!
In the grand final, the Kangaroos gave it their all, showing great teamwork and determination, but were ultimately defeated by a strong Mernda Netball Club team, 10–4.
The teams were lucky to dodge most of the rain, with only a light drizzle throughout the day — and our beautiful new tent, generously provided by our loyal supporters at Community Bank Warrandyte, kept everyone dry and comfortable.
