The 2025 Manningham Netball Association Autumn netball season concluded with a thrilling Grand Final Saturday for Warrandyte Netball Club (WNC). Played in perfect conditions, eight WNC teams took to the court, resulting in celebration and heartbreak in equal measure.
The week leading up to the Grand Finals is always tense, but the preparation paid off for three WNC teams who powered through to secure the premiership. It was a super season for the 13U/1 Kangaroos who finished undefeated and the 15U/1 Emus ended a run of three consecutive premierships for the East Doncaster Netball Club.
- 13U/1 WNC Kangaroos 24 defeated Doncaster Kool Kats 13
- 15U/1 WNC Emus 31 defeated EDNC Jets 28
- Open B WNC Kestrels 36 defeated EDNC Astros 34
While the premierships were celebrated, other WNC teams fought bravely in their grand finals, many in nail-biting finishes:
- 13U/3 Dingoes lost 24:10 to DC Emeralds.
- 13U/4 Echidnas lost 14:12 to EDNC Stars, playing with only six players due to illness.
- 15U/2 Lyrebirds lost 31:25 to DC Sapphires.
- 15U/4 Pelicans lost a tight 19:18 match to the EDNC Suns.
- 17U/2 Kookaburras lost 27:22 to the Donvale Driverz.
