2024 Spring end-of-season presentation

Amie and Shae with the Dusting Award

2024 Spring end-of-season presentation

What a huge weekend for us at Warrandyte Netball Club with Grand Finals on Saturday and our presentation afternoon yesterday! Life Members Sue Rodwell, David Dyason and Jan Prior and husband David were in attendance as guests but of course rolled up their sleeves to lend a hand.

Thank you to Amie Dusting (our current game record holder at 472 games played for WNC) who attended our celebration to award the prestigious Dusting Award to this year’s recipient, Shae Watkins. Shae plays in 17&Us, umpires and has coached WNC teams and is a deserving winner for her contributions to the club and Manningham Netball. Well done Shae!!

The Community Bank Warrandyte Club Person of the Year was awarded to Amy Graham for her significant contributions as Club Coaches Coordinator, coaching 2 teams, committee member and her presence at netball 24/7 for her three girls (and the rest of the club). Well done Amy!!

The Community Bank Warrandyte Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Amanda Minogue for her significant contributions to the club through running the NetSetGo program in 2024, together with facilitating NetSetGo clinics at 6 local primary schools. Her enthusiasm and skill with young players is admirable and we are so lucky to have you!! Well done.

Congrats to all players who received Coach or MVP awards yesterday and to your entire teams who have smashed another brilliant year of netball at WNC.

Thank you too to everyone that came along yesterday to celebrate our fabulous year of netball. Thank you to our multitude of wonderful volunteers from team managers, coaches, umpires, and our parents who support their kids in their love of the sport, we couldn’t do it without you.

And a huge thanks to our President Jimmy, and our club committee, who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
